Now you can move properties in Google Analytics

GOOGLE MAKES NOW ONE OF THE LARGEST CHANGES IN GOOGLE ANALYTICS TO DATE. THE NEW FUNCTION HAS LONGLY BEEN AFTER THE MANY USERS OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS, AND WILL ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY ADMINISTRATE GOOGLE ANALYTICS CONTACTS AND PROTECT VALUE DATA.

Since Google Analytics startup in 2005, many Google Analytics accounts and related properties have been created. So far, however, each Google Analytics property has been permanently "locked" to the respective Google Analytics account, which of course has caused great frustration among the many users of the analytical platform. However, Google is now aware of one of the biggest and most significant changes in Google Analytics to date.

Possible to move Google Analytics properties between accounts

As the headline suggests, Google has now made it possible to move properties, and their associated settings, views, etc. between Google Analytics accounts. This means that you can now transfer your Analytics properties to one. new analytics account; thus retaining the unique and valuable data associated with each property! This allows you to "reorganize" an Analytics account, thus collecting all properties into one single account. This can be especially advantageous if you, for example, like webshop owners, have more subdomains or, for example, move a property created by an agency to one's own Analytics account.

How do I move my property?

The next big question is of course: How do I move a Google Analytics property from one account to another?

To move a Google Analytics property between accounts, do the following:

Login to the Google Analytics account in question
Click the "ADMINISTRATOR" tab at the top
In the "PROPERTY" column, click "PROPERTY SETTINGS"
Click on "RENTAL PROPERTY" in the right-hand corner (see the picture below)
If you want to keep current data, user management settings, etc., select the first option: "KEEP THE EXISTING PROPERTY AND VIEW ALLOWANCES ..."
Finally, select the destination account in the drop-down menu, ie. the account the property needs to be moved to, and then click on "ARRIVAL MOVEMENT"

According to Google, it may take up to several minutes to move properties between Analytics accounts, depending on data volume. It is also important to emphasize that you will not need to reenter the tracking code as the tracking ID is not changed when the property is exported from the source account to the destination account.
